Addie finally learned to clap her hands last night. All we have to do is chant "Clap your hands. Clap your hands. " Ad nauseam. Imagine how we look: Two parents, looking and sounding like idiots, and doing everything just to get their little baby to clap her hands.
Tonight, Addie was doing her nightly BANG THE KEYBOAD ritual (yes, she's over her BANG HER HEAD ON THE WALL phase). When we felt that our laptop is on the verge of breaking down, we finally put on our disciplinarian cap and put an end to the madness. All hell broke loose. Fists flying, feet kicking, fake tears flowing -- our baby was really putting on a show of defiance. We didn't know what to do except to say the magic words: "Clap your hands. Clap your hands." She stopped. And clapped her hands.

Addie's Dinner
Abangan...

D-Day
We've been getting in and out of the hospital for four days. You can't seem to make up your mind on when you're getting out. The nurses finally admitted us to the hospital on the wee hours of January 18th. This picture is taken at 5 am. You can see one of the nurses in the background. The nurses from St. Luke's were awesome! We were tired, scared, confused, and excited. Oh and your grandma was flying in from the Philippines on that same day! We had to ask our neighbor (your eventual Ninang Beth) to pick her up. For the record, daddy saw you first when you came out. I was holding one of your mom's legs at the time. You started crying the moment your head cleared the passage way. Sometimes it feels like you haven't stopped crying since then. :)
